Tae Guek Ye Jang is a series of actions applying the principle of Tae of 8 symbols. Tae means joyfulness. This is the state in which One's mind is kept firm and ostensibly appears gentle so that smile and virtue prevail. Accordingly, this action should be performed gently but forcefully.
