- Remember what you have learned and what got you here.
- Focus on the fundamentals.
- Forget about the surroundings, the size of other schools, the higher belt ranks, etc., just be yourself and focus on your abilities.
- Don’t get caught up thinking about winning or losing.
- Go out and compete to your potential by putting your best foot forward.
- Remember the Basics.
- Combinations! Combinations! Combinations! And when all else fails, execute Combinations.
- Your determined efforts will bring victory.
- If you focus on being the best you can be, you will be the best you can be.
- There are lessons to be learned from competition and Fear is not one of them. Fear creates the victim. Fear is the enemy.
- 80% of what you learn in Tae Kwon Do training is in the mind. The rest is physical.
- Remember, loss of balance results in the loss of energy and technique.
- Similar to a boxer throwing jabs in the ring, you must keep your body and hands up. Do not drop your guard and allow your opponent an opportunity to score.
- Finally, have Fun.
